Who is Mr. Shaba Simon Abu

Mr. Shaba Simon Abu, was born in a remote village, Sheria to a princely family of Mr. Peter Mejida Abu on 16th December, 1964. His father, an ECWA Church member, Shaba became a Roman Catholic Church member by peer group.

He attended the basic Primary School at the RCM/LGED Primary School Sheria, Bassa Local Government Area from 1971 – 1976. He did a stint of studies at the St Clement Junior Seminary, Lokoja which he eased off to commence the Government Secondary School, Oguma, Bassa Local Government Area from 1977 – 1982.

Mr. Shaba studied at the School of Basic Studies, Makurdi Benue State from 1983 – 1985 where he obtained his Interim Joint Matriculation to the University of Jos, Nigeria.

Shaba studied Political Science at the University of Jos from 1986 to 1989 where he obtained his B.Sc. Political Science and later proceeded to read his Masters Degree in International Relations and Strategic Studies at the Benue State University, Makurdi in 2004.

He is been working with the Code of Conduct Bureau, an agent of Government that handles issues of corruption with a mandate to ensure rectitude in Public Office.

Mr. Shaba Simon Abu is married with Children.
In June 2016, Mr. Abu was awarded a Merit Award for his contribution to Service to Church Development, God and Humanity by the CMO of the St. Martins De-Porres Catholic Church in Katsina. He also received a Complimentary Award by the 35 Battalion of the Nigerian Army, Katsina 2016.
